The Tomorrow River Community Charter School will be holding its 5th annual Holiday Faire on Sunday, December 8th from 10am to 3pm. The public is invited to shop and get a glimpse of this unique school all while supporting local craftspeople and helping to raise funds for school expansion. Admission is just $2 for adults, $1 for children and free for those under 5.
For this day only, the TRCCS/CWES campus is transformed into an enchanted holiday village, with local craftspeople and farmers selling their wares. Sounds of local musicians fill the air while gnomes stroll about peddling both savory and sweet morsels. Visitors will fill their bellies with delicious soup made by the school’s 5th grade students, and sip Ruby coffee while enjoying home-baked goods. Children delight in guided crafts, a kids-only-store, where everything costs under a $1, and roasting marshmallows and drinking hot chocolate around a campfire.
This event is a tradition in schools of the Waldorf pedagogy, an educational style first developed by Rudolf Steiner in 1919 that utilizes the arts and nature to teach traditional subjects. Students, teachers, and parents work together to create goods to sell to raise funds for their school. The community is also invited in to sell their creations and can sign-up to vend by filling out our vendor form or by calling (715) 346-2730.
Please come and enjoy the sights, sounds, and good feelings of the TRCCS Holiday Faire.
